Becker Lake 2021

In the middle of winter the evenings are cold but the light can be spectacular.
The Becker Lake beaver taking an evening swim in that cold water.

The moon is always an interesting subject.
If no other life is out there are always coots. They make interesting silhouettes in the very last light.
We love seeing the harrier when he visits Becker lake.

May 9th when this Cattle Egret showed up.
Love is in the air.

The Ibis have pretty much left for the summer.
The Great Egret showed up well after sunset.
I always try for the Night Hawks but as they don't come out till long after sundown they are really hard to get any detail.
June 9th had a rayfull sun.
With the sun all but gone the bats come out.
June 21 was very smokey making the setting sun red-red.

The poor Killdeer were trying to mate but the Red-winged Blackbird wanted in on the activity.
Even summersaults don't impress.

They closed about everywhere we take photos including parts of Becker Lake
