The Wave and Escalante

In June of 2009 I spent a three days west of Page trying to get a permit to hike into the Wave. On the third day I was drawn and the hike was well worth the effort. |

Near where the hike starts is one of the longest slot canyons in the world "Wirepass Canyon." |

When one leaves and gets back to the highway there are a lot of mushroon rocks so I hiked there also. |

And of course when you return to Page there is
Horseshow bend. My lens wasn't quite able to get it all it. Of course Page also sports Antelope Canyon, the most famous of the slots but I passed on it. |
